Disputing a rating

Disputing a rating

Not happy with a rating?

As per our terms of service our ratings system is a transparent platform for property owners to leave feedback on contractors they have hired.  We verify that their details are correct, but the content and responsibility of the ratings is solely up to them. Where inaccurate or defamatory ratings are brought to our attention we will always investigate them and, if required, remove them. Otherwise removal of the ratings is between the home owner and the contractor.

You can monitor your ratings, check your average rating score all on your Ratings dashboard here

Please note:  Onlinetradesmen is fully transparent about publishing all valid ratings that it receives from homeowners and cannot get involved in contractual disputes between homeowners and members

In the event that you have received a rating that you believe to be invalid, please contact the homeowner directly to request a change to the rating in question. In our experience 90% of all rating disputes can be resolved by this approach.

However, If this approach fails and you have documentary evidence or similar to contest the validity of the the rating, please contact us here with the job ID and all evidence for contesting the rating..
