How to re-size a photo for your website
Uploading a picture to your member profile is easy. You can do it by clicking on the 'Manage Website' button and going to Step 4.
However sometimes members have difficulty adding photos as they are not in the correct format. Our system only accepts the following image formats:
How to re-size a photo:
You are much better off re-sizing a photo yourself to ensure that it looks the way you want it to.
In Microsoft Windows use the Paint program as follows:
To open MS Paint Click Start, Programs, Accessories, then Paint. to start Microsoft Paint.
Open the image file you wish to edit.
Click the Image Menu at the top and select Stretch/Skew Image.
Choose a percentage figure to resize the image. To avoid distortion, choose the same percentage for the horizontal and vertical stretch.
Click OK.
Once you have the desired size, click File, then Save or click Save As... to prevent overwriting the original image
If your photos are rotated when uploaded, it's most likely becuase they were taken in landscape mode on your phone. You can rotate in your chosedn photo editing program and save as a new file to ensure it's the right way up when you upload it!
